World Toilet Day 2018

19th November is celebrated as world toilet day across the world, an effort to raise the awareness and ensuring that the other half of the world's population gets the access to a toilet an proper sanitation 2030.

UNO reports Billions of people don't have a toilet or safe water. United nation supports projects from all across the world to improve access to availability and accessibility to clean water, sanitation and hygiene.

In India about 10.5% of urban households still practice open defecation; 14.9% used toilets where waste comes into contact with humans and 6.1% used shared facilities, according to the National Family Health Survey data of 2015-16.

In the year 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi originally launched the Swachh Bharat Mission, one of the key points was to make India Open Defecation Free (ODF).
